About us
Jeevan Rekha Parishad (JRP), otherwise known as Lifeline Council is an independent, secular, non- governmental research and development grass-root organization working for peace, solidarity, human rights and sustainable livelihood issues in Odisha state of India. Established in 1993, JRP has been working in the field of different thematic areas like health, education, peace, human rights, good governance, child rights, climate justice, environment protection, biodiversity conservation, and livelihood. The organization has its own building and infrastructure besides a team of dedicated volunteers and staff. JRP works in Odisha state, one of the least developed and poorest states of India throughout five districts incluing Khordha, Puri, Bhadrak, Cuttack and Nayagarh. As a focal point of National Human Rights Foundation (NHRF) – JRP works on Human Rights Networking and Advocacy throughout the state. JRP is the India Coordinator of Master Peace (www.masterpeace.org), Earth Guardians, and Youth in Action Programmes of the European Commission.
What We Do
Promoting the aims and purpose of the organizations among the various societies of the different district in Odisha state, JRP is actively working for the social development of rural and tribal communities in child rights, education, biodiversity, environment, and marine conservation, WASH, food nutrition & health, sustainable livelihood and disaster management, working with like-minded communities in Puri & Nayagarh district for social development of poor communities for their better future in education, water sanitation & hygiene, food , nutrition & health and economic development through sustainable livelihood and protect their human rights.
